We are delighted to announce the launch our inaugural joint exhibition NEST, opening April 1, 2021, at Backspace Gallery, Ballarat Victoria (within the Ballarat Fine art Gallery).

In this exhibition, we reflect on the rewards, sacrifices and tensions of parental responsibility while pursuing personal goals and creative objectives as emerging artists, and balancing the often competing elements of our lives.

​

The NEST theme is interpreted broadly, traversing the inner sanctum of home and the environment in which we live. NEST encompasses nature and nurture, fragility and survival.

​

In NEST, we have each responded from the mother's perspective, to themes of home; a place of sanctuary and growth. It is about the responsibility of raising and providing for children and is also the place where artist mothers nurture their talents and dreams.

​

The exhibition includes works in a variety of media, including charcoal, collegraph, cyanotype and ceramic.
